The Well Has Gone Dry

So, I’ve hit a bit of a crossroads, friends. I have been publishing roughly three blog posts a week for about a solid year now. I photograph, write, edit, and promote everything regarding this blog entirely on my own and I have to admit, I am little tired.

I recently started taking a photography class, a blogging course, and I’m also in the process of educating myself about potty training. As you know, I am a full-time stay at home mom, which means my primary responsibility is taking care of my daughter – unfortunately everything else takes a back seat.

If you’ve taken a course before, which I assume most of you have, it’s really difficult to both absorb and output materials at the same time. Essentially, I am throwing all of my “free” time into further educating myself and I simply don’t have enough creativity left to put together sufficient blog posts.

I’ve always strived to be honest in this blog, as it is a true dictation of my life and this is exactly where I am right now – a little worn out, and focused on improving the skills I use every day.

So, what’s next? This isn’t a break-up post or anything of the sorts, I will be finished with my courses soon and I will be back with new content, improved pictures {hopefully}, and a sense of refreshment. I genuinely love blogging and interacting with each and every person who reads my posts, so a part of this mini break – I’ve been publishing less over the past month – is to get one step ahead of my publishing calendar and put my new skills to work.

Thank you for reading and supporting The Baby Bump Diaries!

I know exactly how you feel. I hit this a lot in the beginning and still hit it at least once a year (OK, let’s be honest, it’s every week). You really need to step back, remember why you love it and remember that it is OK to take a break. We will all still be here when you get back 🙂

Thank you, Jennifer! At least I know I’m not alone in this blogging struggle! 🙂
